SF’s 7th fashion symposium & design competition SFMOMA !

It’s been a very very long time – but, here’s some info. on a fashion event in SF.

I was pleasantly contacted by Robert Platzer with the Arts of Fashion Foundation 

From Saturday, October 25th to Wednesday, October 29th they will host at the SFMOMA their 7th annual fashion symposium and international student design competition….

    

Hosting 68 fashion students from 23 countries representing 79 different fashion schools !!

Each will be presenting their creations related to this year’s theme ‘influence’ in a unique fashion show and display at the SFMOMA on the Wednesday, October 29th. They will be competing for design scholarships and internship opportunities at prestigious Fashion Houses and Schools in Europe.

  

This event in hosting city San Francisco will bring together world-renowned designers, educators, professionals and students in the fashion industry, including but not limited to:

• Sandra Backlund (Knitting Designer, Louis Vuitton – Stockhom)
• Laurent Edmond (Creative First Assistant, Maison Martin Margiela – Paris)
• Steven Faerm (Director, Parsons School of Design – New York)
• Natalia Brilli (Designer, Longchamps, Loewe – Paris)
• Ma Ke (Guest Member, Paris Haute Couture, China)
• Sandrina Fasoli (Winner of the Mango Fashion Awards – Brussels)
• Cathy Pill (Guest Member, Haute Couture – Paris)

Keep the DEADLINES in mind…

October 24: Registration online will be closed
October 25-26-27-28: MasterClass-series from 9AM – 5PM.
October 29: Fashion Show production & presentation of the work done during the MasterClass-series along with the designs of the AF-Competition finalists
