It will soon be one month since arriving to New York, this past month was my time to get more acquainted with the area, and the transportation system (I’m finally getting the hang of it, thank you very much). I moved into my new place in the city, hooray to 30 more minutes of sleep in the morning. I’ve met some amazing people both at work and out through friends…
Being in New York provides you stimuli, people describe them differently:
- “it pushes you to work harder”
- “people work hard, and play harder …”
- “everyone is going somewhere, doing something, or they have somewhere to be”
- “it’s NYC, this is the best city to be in, look around”
- “ENERGY, life…”
- …

I agree with the above, but at the same time the city can drain one out. I feel like my days are shorter and during my weekends, the days I CHERISH, I’m kinda sorta pooped from the week that I have not yet explored the city! My to do list just keeps getting longer and longer … My October will definitely be dedicated to being more of a tourist. Let me know if there are any MUST SEE places, I would really appreciate it, thanks.

How fun that you’re there! There’s so much fun stuff to do and explore. I lived there for a couple years, about 15 years ago. But it definitely is exhausting at times. I much prefer San Francisco but it was fun to do NYC for awhile, and it’s always fun to visit.

I know exactly what you mean – it can get exhausting at times, and I think I am ready to return to San Francisco. I just hope I don’t miss NY too much after leaving.
