Another round of styling tips from StyleCaster. I was lucky to be asked by Meg to style one look for this H&M jacket…

This jacket is real versatile. There were a lot of ideas that came to mind when I first saw this piece:
- you could put a fur scarf type of thing and really put that oomph in your look
- you could wear it tucked in with trousers (tweed, denim, etc.. its really up to you)
- or you could simply layer! (you can’t go wrong with layering)
Other ways of transforming this piece here…

Hi Everyone,
This past week has been a very busy, productive, and well I felt a bit detached from reality actually. Midterms, yes, these past couple days were horrible-at the same time I can’t complain because the subject matter is ooh soo interesting. I am a dork at heart. Just in case you’re wondering I’m absorbed in social psychology and organizational behavior at the moment- both have over lapping concepts and theories, that’s a relief. If you can’t already tell, I’ve decided to post a journal-diary-”hello world” type of post today, I guess it’s my way of making up for the past week - _^.
Remember my trip to New York, and my promise that I’ll be returning in Fall … IT’S HAPPENING! I guess my last trip doesn’t completely prove me having visited NY, my visit was SO short 1 1/2 days to be exact
But, nonetheless, I’m completely, totally, wholly, in every respect, (I should stop huh, I could go on and on …), 120 percent EXCITED. I guess its because I’ve always had plans to go but after 4 years (yes, I know what you’re thinking, 4 years?!) it’s finally, finally happening! I’ll be going for an internship. Btw, If you’re interested/looking for an internship in the magazine/publication industry you should definitely make Ed2010 your bible, they provide great resources and lots of “how to-do’s”!
On another note, my iphone has literally, LITERALLY become an extension of my body. I look at this situation and think for one, how sad, but on the contrary its made my life SO much easier. Perhaps that’s the flaw since I’ve become much more dependent on it …
What are the best applications out there? or maybe an app. I need to check out?

I’m not a fan of prints …

Yet, I completely fell (literally, well actually tripped) for this yellow and black tie-dye printed, low v-neck, thin strap dress!
(DIY: fold a shirt whichever and however you want it, and bind with rubber bands or string, and apply dye. Didn’t we all do this in grade school? I did.)
And, back to the 1960’s I say!
More than the print, the fabric eases on my body – way too comfortable! It flows real nice, being that it’s chiffon.
The perk of this dress (or any dress, really) is that you can refashion it to match your mood, event, or anything really. How? Just sport a different color cardigan or blazer. Wait … can’t forget to accessorize, duh?!
If you have a similar type of dress, you’ll know what I mean, right?

Jumpers are always fun, especially for summer! Literally, you can accessorize with anything hats, scarves, little vintage clutches, bracelets, belts, and the list goes on … the only pet peeve is when the bathroom calls – you have to undress from the top!
Jumper from Forever, pumps from ZARA, hat from my darling friends shop Olive Juice, scarf from Paris thrift store, clutch from Paris vintage store.
