Okay, so I’m not going to actually demonstrate how-to make something per se, but, I will give some insight on the many uses of a thin cotton skirt, in this case, that has real cute side pockets!
I needed something quick and the color of this skirt is absolutely adorable, so I decided to alter and refashion it into a tube-top. Would you do it?
“The interior decor of Sam Nazarian’s $18.9 million mansion high above the Sunset Strip might be described as nightlife moderne.”
“The Persian Conquest
THREE DECADES AGO, IN THE WAKE OF THE ISLAMIC REVOLUTION, ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOODS OF TEHRAN’S MONEYED JEWISH COMMUNITY FLED TO LOS ANGELES. NOW, HAVING AMASSED AMERICAN-STYLE FORTUNES AND POLITICAL CLOUT, THE PERSIANS OF BEVERLY HILLS ARE LIVING THE ULTIMATE CALIFORNIA DREAM.” You can read the rest here …“
My friend’s feet became severely dry, from walking in slippers and who knows what else … So, I gave her some advice on what I did before and voila! She’s been doing it once a week and it’s working! So, I wanted to share it with you guys. Now, girls (and boys), I know we all detest having ugly, oogly, dry, flaky feet … Some use baby oil, some use all kinds of feet products, others use those pumice stones in the shower, but let me tell YOU the answer is VASELINE. Huh? That’s probably what you’re thinking … it’s a 3 step process:
Vaseline, it’s like this jelly goo, it might feel some what discomforting applying it onto your feet, BUT, “just do it” – and chunk it on!
Grab a pair of sock, nicely and neatly cover both feet with the vaseline applied
Go to bed and wake up the next morning with smoother and healthier feet.
This is proven to work! So, try it, it doesn’t hurt to try … and the vaseline, you can get that anywhere at a local drugstore. I hope that helps …
Like I said before, I tend to work my look around one favorite item. In this case, my yellow heels, I got a killer deal on them. Which make them even more precious.
I love playing with color, especially bright colors. You know~ how color radiates a sort of mood. This look is full of energy, spunk, and a kick of attitude (not, that I have one, really!).
Alber Elbaz’s chic vision of his “accidental tourist” for Lanvin’s cruise collection is absolutely delightful, as always! ”When describing one particular look (slim black pantsuit, red sneakers), Alber mentioned he had been influenced by none other than celebrity DJ/saner LiLo half, Samantha Ronson.” Like I say, inspiration is everywhere, in this case, Sam.
The “accidental tourist” collection has a mixture of inspirations from Tahiti, Romania, India, etc …
Simply put, I just want all these pieces! The choice and use of silk drapes over the body so smoothly, it’s quite provocative in a sense, don’cha think?
Summer is here, so it makes sense to tie up all that hair, out of your face and bare your glamorous shoulders and neckline. This hair trend has made its presence on runways, and has been favored by lots of fashion favorites. You know Erin Wasson, Alexander Wang’s right hand gal, she’s styled her high bun in different variations, high and messy, off to the side …
I definitely give this look a thumbs up! It’s quick to do and it completely compliments this season. So, here’s my topknot look for today. I like to pull a few stands of hair out on the sides – it creates a balance and makes the look more complete. The bun doesn’t have to be perfect, a messy look (meaning the bun isn’t balanced and one side is bigger than the other) can work to your benefit and create a natural look. Plus, buns always draw more attention to your neckline, so take advantage and wear a cute necklace What are your thoughts?
Walter Pfeiffer, age 63, did a shoot for French Vogue that is superb. His use of color and the styling for each shoot is needless to say, brilliant! Won’t you agree?
The set below is more to my liking, it’s simple, clean and so twenty-first century feeling…
“I am an artist who by coincidence came into vogue,”
“I have always surrounded myself with beautiful and creative people. I see beauty everyday — it can be a person or a landscape or an object,”
“I am classical but experimental in my work,”
“I don’t do digital.”
“I don’t want to shoot hundreds of film, I have it after four clicks,”
“I would go to the library and leaf through Harper’s Bazaar and U.S. Vogue and look at the beautiful images — I always had style and a feeling for fashion,”
This has been on my playlist for the last week, everyday, on replay… the lyrics are really sweet. I wanted to share it with you all … Listen in on the lyrics.
